To set up a new Poles ‘n’ Wires installation to use a network (server) licence, or to convert an existing installation, follow these steps:

  1. You will be issued the appropriate licence file. Save the file into the Data directory (see https://polesnwires.com/knowledge-base/version-7-installation-directories/ if you need help finding it)
  2. Open TCP port 55001 to allow the software to access our cloud licence manager. You may not need this step in a home or small office situation.
  3. Run the tool ChangeLicenceType.exe in the program directory and select Network
